Transeuropa Ferries, the Ramsgate to Ostend cross channel ferry operator, announces a new passenger fare structure for 2005.

The prices, which come into effect on 1^st February, are based on single tickets for simplicity. According to Nigel Castle, General Manager UK, customers appreciate the straightforward approach.

“Our method enables passengers to compare prices for themselves without having to telephone a call centre or check the website until they’ve decided to book” he explains.

A recent entrant to the cross channel passenger market, Transeuropa has operated a freight line between Ramsgate and Ostend since 1998. Its new passenger vehicle service targets the independent traveller and families who want to enjoy a relaxed crossing away from more hectic ports. Transeuropa carries cars, mobile homes, caravans and motorcycles but not coaches or foot passengers

• There is no additional charge for “high” vehicles (although customers must mention any vehicle above 1.85m high at time of booking to ensure space availability)

• Space is limited for some vehicle types on certain sailings.

• There are no amendment fees, but if an amendment results in a price increase, the additional fare becomes payable immediately

• There is a 100% cancellation charge.

• Supplementary charges apply to bookings made on the day of travel

• These fares cannot be used by vehicles designed for, or being used for, commercial purposes

• Transeuropa reserve the right to alter fares and schedules at any time
